Seven forgotten pleasures

As we move into spring, take the time to savour the moments that simply bring joy. It’s the season of hope and new beginnings.

Style little moments

After months of being at home, freshen up corners or shelves with a few decorative pieces that you just love –the “just because” finds. Spend an afternoon creating small pockets of Scandi style.

Take the plunge

If winter swimming wasn’t quite you (although there are 20,000 registered members across Denmark), why not venture out now the water is beginning to
warm up? Visit swimming.org for more.

Open the windows

Fill your home with spring freshness, throwing open the windows and giving
each room a good air. Imagine you have just arrived at your Scandinavian cottage for Easter and it needs to be woken up.

Get an eggy start

Kick-start your day with an egg cooked just the way you like them, transporting you back to those childhood days – toasty soldiers a must!

Bring in blooms

Add bursts of spring around your home, displaying seasonal flowers in vases, votives, bottles and even tumblers. Try to shop local and support a friendly florist, buying British-grown where you can.

Scandi start

Begin your day by lighting a candle as you make plans or meditate

Care for your plants

As our homes become increasingly green spaces, spend an hour giving your leafy friends a little TLC. Repot, trim and give a feed and water. Try swapping to a new pot or planter for an easy update.
